Lisa was not helpful but she did apologize also said she would talk to the supervisor... I didn't get that she understood the "How" and that was simply how i felt.... Well its my choice if i ever want to go back there again and if you are anything like me you might want to avoid the prison commissary also... just my thoughts.....
It's my closest spec's so I go here often. Smaller than the Dallas one, but they have a great selection still. Very helpful staff.

Wow where do I begin... I went to this location yesterday to buy a bottle of Vodka. I won"t mention the name or brand because it means nothing. Lets just say its a premium line and it must be because they keep it under lock and key. I have been to this location several times and it wasn't unusual for me to ask a clerk to open the case give me my bottle and i go to the register pay and leave... Seems like what should be a simple trip to the liquor store has now become a trip to the prison commissary.... Yesterday when i asked the clerk to open the case his response was " I don't know if my key works"... well to be honest that's really not my problem... please find a key that works so i can make my purchase and leave.... Miraculously his key did work and he proceeded to reach for me bottle as i stood there ready to receive it from him and go to the register. Not so Easy .... The clerk "in my disbelief" proceeded to take my bottle to the cashier.... a cashier who already had two other people she was checking out. I say this because there were two other cashiers asking me if they could help and they were completely available. The cashier where my bottle was being held hostage politely took the bottle and placed it on her side of the register like it was a kid she told to stand by her side.
Very friendly staff. They were very helpful in helping me make my selection and even recommended reasonable substitutions. Will definitely be making them my first stop for any future liquor purchases.
So here is the rub... I am a fifty five year old man. I felt demeaned by their actions .... i was made to feel like "I" was going to steal a $30 dollar bottle of liquor. i noticed several other people pleasantly taking their bottle of choice to the register and no one was being treated or going through the same process as i was...
I wanted to express my feelings to a manager... after a slight runaround i was given a card with a manager named "Lisa" no need for me to give her last name... I called her today and she did return my call... I was actually informed by her that the "process" was created by her and that is because people were taking the liquor and running out the door...REALLY!!! ... If you have that kind of theft then you should hire security not just lock up the good stuff and make hard working people feel like "WE' are the thieves.
